SCDLS Team Members
Emily Dance
Emily Dance is a senior electrical engineering student from Birmingham, Alabama. Emily has conducted electromagnetic gel research and testing under Dr. Erdem Topsakal during her time at Mississippi State University, and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Hoover High School Engineering Academy. She is an active member and leader in the Chi Omega sorority and is also a show choir instructor for Summer Show-Offs during the summers.
George Hilliard
George is a computer engineering major at MSU. He is currently a junior and is also pursuing a business minor. George is also an MSU Presidential Scholar, an IEEE Eta Kappa Nu member, and a Phi Kappa Phi honor society member. George is very interested in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and low-level programming. In his spare time, George is also a bluegrass guitar player and a decent car mechanic.
Hagan Walker
Hagan Walker is a senior electrical engineering major from Columbus, MS. Since a young age, Hagan has always enjoyed working on technical projects with hopes that these technical advances will some day help others. He enjoys skydiving, cycling, mountain climbing, and not doing homework. Hagan was the Electrical Team Leader for EcoCAR2 and is excited about working to create the Smart Crosswalk.
Lee Sargent
Lee Sargent is a senior majoring in electrical engineering from Madison, MS. He was previously team captain of the MSU EcoCAR 2 team, and previously worked at Adtran Inc. When he is not working on personal engineering projects, he can be found lifting weights or ballroom dancing.
Preston Stinson
Preston Stinson is an electrical engineering student at Mississippi State University (MSU). He is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, where he lives with his parents and younger sister. At MSU, Preston is president of the university’s chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the recording secretary for the Mississippi Alpha chapter of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society. Preston intends to pursue a graduate degree upon graduating from MSU.
